Chamber Virtuosi sets concert, bus trip Car-wash proceeds to aid ICS Bulldogs

Jessica Sibelman and The New York Chamber Virtuosi will present “An Evening of Fantasy,” an orchestral concert featuring music from favorite stories, 8 p.m. May 22 at Merkin Concert Hall, Kaufman Center, 129 W. 67th St., between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue, New York City.

The concert will include the world premiere of Sibelman’s “Cinderella Suite”; Wieniawski’s “Faust Fantasy,” featuring Gabrielle Fink; and a new rendition of Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty” for orchestra and narrator, introducing conductor Reuben Blundell.

Tickets cost $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors, $15 for students; patron and sponsor tickets start at $50.

The Immaculate Conception Athletic Association will sponsor a car wash 8 a.m.- noon June 4 in the Immaculate Conception School (ICS) parking lot, 23 Manalapan Road, Spotswood.

All proceeds will benefit the junior-high athletic program at Immaculate Conception School, home of the Bulldogs sports teams.

Cost is $6 for cars, $8 for trucks/vans/SUVs; add $3 for inside vacuum service. A Bulldogs air freshener will be provided free of charge with every wash; additional air fresheners will be available at a cost of $2 each.
