Volunteers are being sought for the 26th annual Clearwater Festival "Revive – Restore – Renew" slated for Aug. 18-19 at Sunset Park, Asbury Park. The festival is the largest and longest-running eco-festival in New Jersey, according to organizers.
Festival organizers are urging individuals to sign up as quickly as possible because the festival is moving to a new site this year and its success depends on volunteers.
Volunteers are needed for help in set-up and break-down, environmental signs, entertainment support, recycling, handicapped access, hospitality, and other areas. Volunteers will be provided with a free meal ticket.
This year’s event will feature blues "master" Guy Davis, folk singer Richard Shindell, songwriter Jess Klein and other performers. Also featured will be a children’s fun area, environmental displays, a food court, and arts and crafts activities.
The festival is sponsored by the Monmouth County Friends of Clearwater.
